Privacy policy

Aux Clean Links processes copied link text locally in the browser for the sole purpose of removing tracking and account-linked sharing identifiers.

Data handling

• No copied URLs, browsing history, page content, account information, or personal data are collected, stored, sold, or transmitted to Aux or any third party.
• No analytics, advertising, telemetry, or remote code are included.
• The extension stores only its on/off preference and aggregate local counters for links and parameters cleaned. These values never leave the browser.
• When a known opaque short link must be expanded, the extension makes a credential-free HTTPS request directly to that link's host with cookies and referrer information omitted. The resolved destination is processed locally and is not sent to Aux.

Permissions

The extension runs only on the listed social-media domains so it can intercept links copied by those sites. Local storage is used for the enabled setting and local-only counters.

Limited Use

Use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
